Along the cost towards LA
Set off, got lost and then the speedo fell off. Grrrr. Back to the GPS back up. Went up a side road to link up 101 to 1. Nice drive and then had lunch at Alice’s restaurant (a biker hangout). The waitress asked were I was from so had to tell my story and a few minutes later she shows up with a license plate holder from the restaurant.
Since I hit reserve just before reaching the restaurant I got gas next door. Bike dropped because of the stupid pumps they use. Stupid suction thing on the nozzle that you have to push down. Pushed to hard and the bike fell over. Note to self: Park so you push towards the side stand. Stunning drive down highway 1.
Had a race with a Corvette. Idiot kept breaking for every corner. Why by a sports car when you drive like a granny. Finally managed to overtake him. Took a little dirt road detour between Bigsby Bridge and Big Sur. Nice thru the forest at first and then on top of a hill with nice view of the pacific. Camped at a state park near Hearst Castle. Little crazy paying $20 for camping and no shower.
