Arrived at the HU meeting
Early start. First went back to highway 101 to get petrol at Fortuna and had coffee. Then started up the road we had abandoned the night before. Started off pretty misty but when we got above the clouds it was really beautiful….
Arrived at the place were the HU meeting was held at around 11am. Instantly started talking to people. Really fun to meet fellow biker travelers. Met Grant there (initiator of the HU website).
Friday afternoon was kind of free so a few people decided to head to the beach and down a dirt road to a lighthouse. Nice drive on easy dirt to an overlook from which you could walk to the beach and lighthouse (too far away in full motorcycle gear). Arrived back to camp just in time for dinner. Then there were some presentations from people about there trips.
