Bike.All MC Irkutsk
Rain all night. So packed up in the rain and had some problems to get back onto the road. The dirt road had of course turned into mud over night….
It was pretty cold with the rain. Of course didn’t think about that when I got dressed this morning so forgot to put on long underwear. Only did 30 miles at a time before pulling into a petrol station to get some coffee and warm up.
Made it into Irkutsk and went to the city center to stop at Hotel Angara. Went in and tried calling Peter (number I got from Klaus & Helmut). Again had to hand over the phone to the receptionist. Peter showed up after 30 min. He was in a taxi and it was only a short drive to the club house. The club is called Bike.All, get it? Baikal as the lake. The club house is more run like a public bar with a room where people can stay. Hung around there and got taken care of by Margarita and Natasha, the two girls running the bar.
In the evening there was live music and a lot of people showed up. At first I felt a little out of place because people were more reserved then say in Barnaul. But later in the night I got talking to people and it ended up to be a really good night and a lot of fun. I think I crawled into bed at 6am.
