Ferry to the mainland

Went a little bit up the hill to dry our stuff particularly my sleeping bag. Lots of dew this night. Rode for an hour or so and then stopped for breaky. While we sat there two overlanders (bikes) rode by but they didn’t spot our bikes parked behind a pickup.

Might see them on the ferry. Went on into La Paz. We were just driving along when we came to a 4-way stop sign. Car in front entered the junction and then had to stop. So we pulled into the junction as well not seeing the police car on our right. So as soon as we were accross the police pulled up behind us and indicated us to stop. Fuck. We got fleezed for 200 Pesos each. Looking at it afterwards we were way to quick to pay. Next time we will be tougher.

img 4121Made it thru La Paz without further traffic infringements. The ferry port is 10 miles outside of town. I went to the terminal and asked for an ATM and where I could get tickets. ATM just across the parking lot and tickets just down the road. After buying our tickets to Topolibampo for that night we headed 5 miles back to a nice beach. We went for a swim and had a few beers. Got back to the ferry port just when it was getting dark. Had something to eat and a shower at the truck drivers waiting lounge. Then it was time to get onto the ship. Just crashed in the lounge but did not get much sleep.
