Khövsgöl Nuur
Only 85 miles today. Some bits easy others pretty difficult, like dry riverbeds. Last 10 miles tricky thru forest with steep uphill and downhill part. Not much to report…
Leg still hurting when I walk but riding it didn’t bother me to much even while standing up. Now at a ger camp at the shores of Khövsgöl Nuur. Nice place. Will do some exploring tomorrow and stay tomorrow night as well. Give my leg some time to recover.
Its still very quiet in the camp. Lots of staff and I’m surprised that they are not more inquisitive. Some of them speak English so language shouldn’t be the problem. So far the Mongols I have met on the road all were more “nosy”. Maybe its because its the girls who speak English and they are more reserved. So fire in the ger is going and I have a fruit tea.
Met Enkhe & Thomas (couple from Berlin) and they invited me to their ger for a beer. We talked about all sorts of things and had beer and vodka. Latish to bed at 0:30am. Stunning night sky.
