Long day to make it to Chita
Finally left Ulaan-Ude at 11:30 after I had breakfast with the others. The girls from reception asked if they could take our photographs so we positioned ourselves and the bikes in front of the hotel…
On a cigarette break after 60 miles I discovered 2 spokes that were broken. Really ready to burn down the bike. I ran into Sigi whom I had met in UB. He was on his way back from Vladivostok. He was traveling alone and Toni was a day behind him. I texted Toni but did not hear back from him.
So around 5pm I started to look for a camp spot. Just when I wanted to put up the tent I got a text from Toni that he was in Chita and was staying with a biker. So of to Chita 75 miles away. Toni send me the GPS coordinates and with those I found my way to a car repair shop owned by Vlad. Talked for a good while over a beer. Slept on the floor of the garage.
