Looking for shipping company
So checked out of the hotel at 10 am and headed actually just a few 100 yards down the road to the office of Schenker Logistic to see if they could help ship the bike. I spoke to Mr. Kim who was really helpful and friendly. He said this was normally not what they would do but he could check….
So went back to the hotel to check in again. Then went of to find this other company a search on the web had produced. It should have been in the same area as Schenker but addresses are so confusing. In the end when into an office building and asked the security guard. He called them and then literally took me by the hand to walk 300 yards to the building. Super nice. Spoke to a guy and he said they could ship the bike to Seattle and they could even give me a arrival time. They gave me a quote but I didn’t want to decide at that moment because I wanted to give Mr. Kim from Schenker time to check.
Wondered around for the rest of the day and I’m still not sure what to make of Korea. People seem to be absolutely outdoor fanatic. Any brand of outdoor equipment can be found
on the high street - Patagonia, Columbia, Berghaus etc. Plus all the other brands - Nike, Adidas and so on. So if it weren’t for the other signs being in Korean you could think you were in the States. My feeling is that flair wise there is something missing - I guess Asia is missing. This could as well be the 52nd state of America. (Note on the side the 51st state according to New Model Army is the UK)
