Mad ride thru Almaty at night
Woke up at noon and I think Pasha and Vlad wanted to get on the road so went to get something to eat at a cantine. After saying goodbye to the two myself and Andre spend a few hours talking with the heavy use of translating program. I then tried to fix the Loobman chain oiler but have to see if it will work properly…
Arman showed up on his Honda 1000cc Fireblade at 7:30 pm. Andre, Arman and myself set off to do a little sightseeing. Well a little hard when you try to keep up with a sportsbike thru Almaty traffic. I’m not sure how a) I wasn’t killed and b) not stopped by the cops. Pretty crazy driving.
We went up to the radio tower which sits on a hill overlooking the city. Funnily enough they have a Gluhwein stand up there. Another bit of mad driving to a sushi restaurant. Yummi. For the ride back Arman let me drive his bike. Hmm, have to get me one of those. I mean I still could not keep up with Arman who was on my XT, but then again, first time on sports bike, could not see anything in the mirrors and had problems shifting in my touring boots. I know excuses excuses. I admit I’m a sissy.
Back at the club house at 12:30 am and Andre and myself talked some more with a few shots of Vodka. Bed at 3 am again.
