Made it to Los Angeles
Headed back 8 miles to Hearst Castle, a mansion that newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst build in 1920 - 30. Its this totally over the top “castle” stuffed with antiques. Took a tour for 1.5 hours and then really had to get going.
Only a few stops at Home Depot to get some parts to fix the speedo and a super market to pick up some wine for Rob & Bridget. Still nice drive on highway 1, not as dramatic but good. Thru Malibu beach with mad traffic so slow progress.
Found Rob’s house in Venice. Got settled in and Bridget made amazing food - tuna steak marinated in soy sauce. We then went out for drinks with some of their friends. Actually strange being in a night club. Last time must have been back in Ireland 5 month ago.
