Red Tape & Oil Change
Vova called in sick this morning using my bad tummy as excuse. We set off to get the visa registered. Full load of Russian red tape….
First we went to the wrong place, then right place but we needed to go to an agent who can fill out the registration form by computer. Then back the immigration office to stand in line for an hour to find out that we needed to go to post office to send in the form. The post office of course needed photocopies, so had to find a place to make copies. Over all it took 4 - 5 hours. All this with me feeling like shit, must have eaten something wrong - bad tummy. But our day was not over yet.
Went to Yamaha dealer for oil change then to Barnaul biker club house. Met some people there, really interesting. They had a Harley Davidson there that was left behind by a French biker who suffered a stroke. They also had a picture up from Tomy and Rosa whose travel journal I followed on the web. They did a 2 year around the world trip. Still not finished because Vova picked up a flat tire on the way back so we went straight to the tire repair shop to get it fixed.
Then went home, had dinner and watched pictures. Definitely have to go back to the Altai for trekking. Saw amazing pictures of a trip that Vova and Jenya did. The two have an absolutely cute 4-year old daughter. Difficult for her to understand that I did not get what she was saying. Felt a bit better in the evening and tried eating something. To bed early.
