Ride thru Altai Region and back to Barnaul
Wake up call was the roah of a Honda Fireblade
Everybody headed of for a spin. Tried to keep up with the sports bikes but not a chance in hell. So rode with Vova who traveled more at my pace. 10 miles down the road we stopped for breakfast but Vova and myself actually wanted to ride some more…
So we headed off leaving the other guys to their breakfast. We stopped at a shop to get stuff for breaky and suddenly the heavens opened. Heavy rain for 30 min during which time we had our breakfast under a cafe pagoda. The road continued to climb into the mountains. Really nice driving. We went about 60 - 70 miles to Seminsky Pass. Pretty cold up there. So we decided it was enough since we had to go back to the camp and then the 150 miles back to Barnaul.
We arrived back at the camp and found the other guys started drinking again. They were staying another night. We said our goodbyes and headed off. Uneventful drive to Barnaul. After unloading the bikes Vova and myself set off to get my visa registered. We went to one hotel and they told us they could only register me if I staid there and that I actually had forgotten that it was three working days and not three days to get the visa registered. We will do this tomorrow then. So just went back to the apartment and had dinner. Ended up taking a cold shower because their warm water boiler for the building is broken. Refreshing really, no.
