Staying with Jupiter in Loreto

So woke up early, first thing was to take the seat and tank off. I then put some more of the “cold metal” putty on the return hose nipple of the oil tank. While this was hardening we packed our camp. 30 min and I fired up the engine and there was no more oil leaking.

David discovered an oil leak as well but it wasn’t as bad so he wanted to wait until Loreto to see were exactly it was. We got on the road and the drive to Loreto was easy. We tried asking around for the street that Jupiter’s place was on. Not much luck but made it to the malacon (sea front promenade) and stopped at the harbor. Thought we could use a payphone to call Jupiter but there were all card phones. Damn.

We asked again and someone actually knew the street. So standing there at the harbor we saw Jupiter drive by on his BMW but he could not see us or our bikes. We found his house. Nobody there of course. One of the neighbours told us that a friend of Jupiter’s lived just around the corner. So went there and got him to ring Jupiter and scored a soda. Jupiter showed up 10 min later and we went to his place. After throwing our stuff into the guest room we got cleaned up.

With the bikes we went to the local Expad hangout called “Augie’s”. Met a lot of people, had food and beer. Quiet a few beers actually. Tried to find the local strip joint but it was closed. Drove around town and suddenly my head light went. Boy my bike is really falling apart.
