To Aktobe in the rain
Woke up and went outside for a smoke. Surprise, surprise its raining. By the time I had packed the bike it had stopped but did not look promissing for the rest of the day….
The whole day it was raining on and off. There was some road construction so parts were dirt track which with the rain was pretty muddy. Not much fun today.
Nearly managed to loose my phone today. Silly stuff again. After stopping for food I had put the phone into the map pocket of the tank bag because I was waiting for SMS from Dauren. So drove for a while and then the really bad road started where I was standing up to get over the bad bumps. Sat down and could feel something under my butt. Thought it must be the strap of the tank bag. So continued on standing up sometimes. Still this thing under my ass. Few miles on I look at my tank bag and horror the phone is gone. In a panik I slammed on the breaks and stopped at the side of the road. So finally grabbed for this annoying thing under my but and thank god it was my phone. How it did not fell of the seat during the times I was standing up is a mystery to me.
Made it to Aktobe and another Friend of Greg - Dauren was kind enough to met me outside of Aktobe and lead me to another soviet-style hotel.
